VeryDarkMan claims he fell out with Davido after rejecting ₦50 million Adeleke campaign offer

VeryDarkMan claims he fell out with Davido after rejecting ₦50 million Adeleke campaign offer

Social media activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has finally addressed his reported fallout with Afrobeats star Davido, claiming their relationship changed after he rejected a ₦50 million offer to campaign for Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Speaking in a trending video circulating online, VDM alleged that Davido and members of his team invited him to meet the governor and offered him the money to support Adeleke's political campaign, but he turned it down.

According to him, many people would have accepted such an offer, but he chose not to.

"Davido and his crew offered me money. When they called me to come and meet the governor, his uncle, they said I would collect ₦50 million. Ask them what I told them. A lot of people would be happy because ₦50 million is not small money, but I rejected it," he said.

VDM also dismissed claims that he and Davido were still in regular contact, explaining that the last meaningful conversation they had was over a young man whom Davido had promised to reward with $5,000.

He claimed that when the payment was delayed, many people accused him of using the incident for clout, prompting him to message Davido directly.

"The last time Davido and I even talked was because of that boy he promised $5,000 in Ghana. I think he forgot, and people were insulting me, saying I lied that Davido had paid him.

"I sent him a DM and told him to pay the boy because people were dragging me. From there, they paid the guy."

VDM's comments come amid growing speculation about the state of his relationship with Davido. Neither the singer nor his representatives have responded publicly to the activist's claims.
