In a video circulating online, one of the officers was heard asking the rapper why he was resisting arrest after informing him that an invitation had been sent to him.
“Invitation was sent to you, it’s okay. What I want to ask you now, are you resisting an arrest? If you’re not resisting an arrest, tell me why you are not following the police?” the officer said.
Responding, Odumodublvck argued that his lawyers had already handled the matter and questioned the officers’ jurisdiction.
“You don’t have any jurisdiction, that’s what you want to do. Don’t tell me to wait,” he said.
The rapper further claimed that police officers had earlier visited his residence and instructed people in his estate not to inform him about the matter, prompting him to contact his lawyers.
“My lawyers came to your office, I am not resisting arrest, it was attended to,” Odumodublvck said.
He also claimed that a court order prevented the officers from taking him away from the venue, while accusing them of attempting to restrict his right to speak publicly about the matter.
“It is illegal to take me from here, my brother. You’re telling me not to tweet, not to speak,” he said.
