Police said Flores’ husband called 911 at about 4:20 a.m. on Tuesday, reporting that his wife had st@bbed him in the head.
When officers arrived at the residence, they found the couple’s 3-year-old daughter and 10-month-old son with st@b wounds to their chests.
The children were rushed to hospital alongside their father, while authorities said all three victims were expected to survive.
Northlake Police Chief Robert Crawford said Flores was also inj¥red during the incident, suffering a small c¥t to her chest. She was treated at a hospital before being released and taken into custody.
Police said Flores was subsequently transported to Denton County Jail, where she is facing two counts of attempted capital m¥rder and one count of aggravated ass@ult with a de@dly weapon.
According to Crawford, the 911 calls indicated that Flores’ husband was trying to reach the children in another room while she was allegedly attempting to st@b him.
The police chief also revealed that officers had responded to the family’s home about five times since March, with most of the previous calls involving welfare concerns.
Crawford declined to provide further details about those earlier incidents, saying investigators were still looking into the circumstances surrounding the latest case.
