Nigerian singer, filmmaker and entrepreneur Banky W has revealed that he is now an ordained pastor in the United States, after losing an election in Nigeria.
The entertainer made the disclosure in an Instagram post marking his first anniversary at Union Church, where he serves as an associate pastor and global ambassador.
Reflecting on his journey, Banky W said losing the 2023 election left him heartbroken and prompted him to seek God's direction for his life and career.
He explained that he initially struggled to determine whether his future lay in politics, ministry, entertainment or business, but eventually realised that he did not have to choose between them.
According to him, the experience helped him understand that his calling could extend across different areas of his life.
Banky W said he has continued working as a filmmaker, musician and entrepreneur while serving at Union Church. He also disclosed that he works as a teacher and leader at Union College.
The singer expressed gratitude to the church's leadership, particularly Stephen Chandler and Zai Chandler, for their impact on his faith, family and future.
He added that although the election did not go as he had hoped, he believes God's plans for his life are bigger than his personal ambitions.
Banky W also hinted at upcoming projects in business, film and music, assuring fans that more developments were on the way.
