The incident reportedly occurred around 9pm on Friday, although the circumstances surrounding the deaths had yet to be established at the time of filing this report.
According to reports, the corporal allegedly shot his girlfriend at close range before turning the firearm on himself.
The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at a mortuary, while an investigation into the incident has commenced.
Efforts to reach the command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Saliu Afusat, for comments were unsuccessful, as she did not answer calls placed to her.
