Man accused of ste@ling purse at late actor Cjay Nwok’s burial service in Lagos

A man has been accused of st+ealing a purse containing two phones, several ATM cards and other valuables during the burial and service of songs held in honour of late actor Chijioke Nwokafor, popularly known as Cjay Nwok, in Lagos State.

The incident reportedly occurred at a branch of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Gbagada, where mourners gathered to pay their last respects to the actor.

CCTV footage reportedly captured the suspect sitting close to where the purse, said to belong to rexking, was placed before allegedly taking it and blending into the crowd.

The footage later showed the man moving to a corner, where he reportedly transferred the st%len purse into a purple nylon bag.

He allegedly returned to the area afterwards and remained seated, looking around. He was also seen observing other attendees, including Kenzie and Cardi, whose phones were reportedly placed near where he sat.

The alleged th+eft was discovered when attendees began searching for the missing purse. The suspect was subsequently identified in the CCTV footage.

A public appeal has since been made for information that could help identify the man and establish his whereabouts.
