Man extradited from Turkey to UK over 2020 double sh00ting

A 36-year-old man has been extradited from Turkey to the United Kingdom and arrested on suspicion of mu#der over the d+aths of two men in a double sh++ting at a party in Manchester more than six years ago.

Cheriff Tall, 21, and Nigerian father-of-three Abayomi ‘Junior’ Ajose, 36, were sh@t d+ad during a party attended by about 400 people in Moss Side, Manchester, in the early hours of June 21, 2020.

Greater Manchester Police said on Sunday that the suspect had been detained in Turkey and brought to England the previous day.

He was met by police officers at Stansted Airport and remains in custody as investigations continue.

The police said a £50,000 reward remains available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of those responsible for the killings.

Detectives believe some of the hundreds of people who attended the party, held in a car park near a block of flats hours after a Black Lives Matter protest, may have crucial information about the incident.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil Higginson described the arrest as an important development in the investigation but said efforts to establish the full circumstances of the killings would continue.

He said officers had spent the past six years carrying out searches, analysing evidence, examining seized devices and pursuing leads to identify those responsible.

“While this arrest marks a significant development in our investigation, our work is far from over,” Higginson said.

He urged anyone who witnessed the incident or had information about those involved to come forward, stressing that even seemingly minor details could prove vital.

The force reiterated that the £50,000 reward remains available and appealed to anyone who had not yet spoken to investigators to assist with the case.
