IVD begs family, friends and business partners for forgiveness after five years of struggles

Celebrity Lagos-based auto dealer, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, has appealed to his family, friends and business partners to forgive him for his past mistakes.

The auto dealer made the appeal in an Instagram post on Tuesday, reflecting on the challenges he has faced over the past five years and promising to make amends.

Describing the period as five years of endless battles, IVD admitted that he was not perfect and asked anyone he might have hurt through his actions to forgive him.

“To my family, friends and business partners, it's been five years of endless battle, also trying to retract all my mistakes. I pray for God's mercy and forgiveness. In any way I've hurt anyone, I pray for forgiveness.

“I'm only human, I'm not a perfect person. I have prayed for God's forgiveness and for Him to show me mercy. Like the Lord said, there is time for everything. Time to reflect and time to focus,” he wrote.

IVD has faced years of public scrutiny following the d+eath of his wife, Bimbo Ogbonna, who d+ed from injuries sustained during a house fire at their matrimonial home in October 2022, following an altercation with him.

The auto dealer subsequently made headlines over his relationship with controversial social media personality Blessing CEO, who publicly described herself as his family therapist and emotional assistant.

IVD also came under criticism after making allegations about his late wife's conduct following her d+eath.

He was accused of complicity in her d+eath but was discharged and acquitted by a court in 2025.
