Davido reveals he spends up to ₦400 million every month

Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that maintaining his celebrity lifestyle costs him between $200,000 and $300,000 (about ₦300 million to ₦400 million) every month.

Speaking during a recent livestream with streamer Davrel, the singer said the figure covers only his personal expenses and does not include the spending of his wife, Chioma Adeleke, or other members of his household.

“Being a celebrity is expensive. I spend between $200,000 and $300,000 every month and that doesn’t even include my wife’s expenses or the rest of my household,” Davido said.

He added that the amount also excludes major luxury purchases such as expensive cars and jewellery.

“It also doesn’t include expenses for the purchase of luxury cars and jewellery,” he added.

Davido's revelation has since sparked conversations on social media, with many fans reacting to the enormous cost of maintaining the lifestyle of one of Africa's biggest music stars.
