How my husband reacted when I earned more than him — Blessing Obasi reveals

Nollywood actress Blessing Obasi has shared a touching story about how her husband, actor Stan Nze, reacted when she landed a movie role that paid her significantly more than he was earning at the time.

Speaking during a recent interview, Blessing recalled that in 2017, she was offered ₦600,000 for a role in the TV series *Castle and Castle*, a figure that left her excited because it was the biggest payment she had received.

“In 2017, the owners of *Castle and Castle* offered me ₦600k as my pay and I was so excited,” she said.

According to her, Stan Nze, who was still her boyfriend at the time, was genuinely happy for her despite earning far less for his own acting roles.

“When I told my husband, who was still my boyfriend at the time, he looked at me, held my hands, prayed for me and told me I am a star and this is just the beginning.

“My husband's highest pay at that time for a role was ₦100k and I was going to earn more than him, but he prayed for me from his heart and reminded me how great I am,” she added.

Blessing said the moment remains one of the strongest examples of her husband's unwavering support and belief in her success, long before they got married.
