Sweet and sour moment for Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami as he celebrates an international milestone after the movie 'KILANKO' received a nomination for Best Film by a Female Filmmaker (Nollywood) at a film festival in Toronto.

Salami shared his excitement on Instagram while congratulating filmmaker Allwell Ademola for the recognition, jokingly asking if he would have to represent the team alone at the event.

“So I will represent us alone abi?” he wrote, expressing both excitement over the nomination and his willingness to attend on behalf of the film.

The actor also appreciated the festival organisers for recognising Kilanko, describing the nomination as a proud moment for everyone involved in the project.

The recognition adds to the growing international attention received by Nigerian films, with filmmakers continuing to gain visibility on global platforms.
