Why you should never neglect your wives when you're rich — Imo First Lady advises men

The wife of the Imo State Governor, Chioma Uzodimma, has advised men not to neglect their wives after becoming financially successful, saying the way a man treats his spouse during good times often determines the support he receives during difficult moments.

Speaking in a message directed at men, the Imo First Lady said every woman wants the best for her husband and is more likely to stand by him if he has shown her love, care and respect while things were going well.

"To all the men out there, once you start making money, take good care of your wife because every woman wants the best for her husband. If you take care of your wife while you have money, when the chips are down, she will also take care of you," she said.

Chioma Uzodimma, however, stressed that money should not be the foundation of a marriage or relationship.

"Even though, money is not everything," she added.

Her comments have sparked discussions online, with many Nigerians agreeing that love, respect and mutual support are essential ingredients for a lasting marriage. Others argued that loyalty depends on individual character and not solely on how financially comfortable a couple is.
