Cristiano Ronaldo, Georgina Rodriguez sign prenup to keep assets separate

Cristiano Ronaldo, Georgina Rodriguez sign prenup to keep assets separate

Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo and his longtime partner, Georgina Rodriguez, reportedly agreed to keep their pre-marital assets separate in a prenuptial agreement signed shortly before their wedding.

The couple reportedly tied the knot in an intimate civil ceremony in Lisbon on Tuesday, surrounded by their children and only four witnesses.

According to reports, Ronaldo and Georgina signed the prenuptial agreement on August 10, a day before the ceremony, at a public notary’s office in Lisbon.

The agreement reportedly establishes a separate-property regime, meaning the couple will retain ownership of assets acquired before their marriage.

Portuguese newspaper Jornal de Notícias reportedly published a copy of their marriage certificate, which contained the couple’s personal details, including their ages, places of birth and parents’ names.

The ceremony was officiated by registrar Maria Manuel Ferreira de Campos Folhadela de Oliveira, who travelled from Porto to Cascais for the occasion.

Ronaldo’s mother and three siblings were reportedly absent from the private ceremony, which was attended by the couple’s children and four witnesses.

Unlike the practice commonly associated with marriage in the UK, Georgina will reportedly retain her maiden name, with both she and Ronaldo continuing to use their pre-marriage names.
