Reacting to the pressure often placed on women over 30 to get married, Uriel argued that people should first consider the realities of today’s dating scene before urging anyone to settle down.
According to her, many people want different things from relationships but fail to clearly communicate their intentions.
“Nobody communicates, nobody is honest about intentions, and everybody wants something without saying what it is,” she said.
Uriel added that she knows her worth and would not sacrifice her peace or health simply because of the pressure to get married.
“Me? I know my worth. I'm not taking on somebody's son just to develop high blood pressure. My BP is a peaceful 111/80 — please, I beg you, let it remain that way,” she said.
She further stressed that marriage should not come at the expense of one’s peace, describing the current dating pool as one that needs serious cleansing.
“These days marriage is not worth losing my peace over. The dating pool needs Jesus, chlorine, and a complete water change,” she added.
