Davido celebrates as Tinubu calls Gov Adeleke after ordering EFCC to unfreeze Osun account

Afrobeats superstar Davido has reacted after President Bola Tinubu reportedly placed a phone call to his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, shortly after directing the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to vacate the court order freezing the state government's bank account.

Sharing a post on his Instagram Story, Davido celebrated the development, saying he witnessed the moment firsthand.

“I was there live! I witnessed history!!! ”

His reaction came after presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga announced that President Tinubu had spoken with Governor Adeleke on Thursday and informed him of his directive to the EFCC to lift the court order placed on the Osun State Government's account.

The development followed days of controversy after the EFCC froze the account over an ongoing investigation into the alleged diversion and mismanagement of state funds.

Davido, who has been actively campaigning for his uncle ahead of the August 15 Osun governorship election, has repeatedly voiced support for Governor Adeleke on social media. His latest post has since sparked widespread reactions online.
