Speaking on a recent episode of the MENtality Podcast, the actor reflected on his past obsession with expensive fashion items and luxury living, revealing that he often spent beyond his means.
According to Timini, he was once an avid perfume collector with about 150 bottles, but now believes the money would have been better invested in real estate.
"There will always be a newer watch, a newer car. I used to be a perfume collector. I had about 150. But I realised that I could have invested the money I spent acquiring perfumes in purchasing land."
While stressing that there is nothing wrong with owning luxury items, he urged people to examine their motives for buying them.
"I'm not trying to talk down on having a nice car or watch. But are you doing it for yourself or because of peer pressure? Are you genuinely happy with it? And without it, would you still be happy?"
Timini also revealed that he has experienced financial difficulties but has learned to remain content regardless of his circumstances.
"There are times when I have been broke, but my energy is always the same because I found a way to be happy with whatever I have."
He encouraged people, especially those who follow him online, not to feel pressured to keep up appearances, noting that everyone experiences both good and bad seasons in life.
The actor concluded by admitting that he once lived a fake lifestyle to impress others but has since changed his mindset.
"I used to be that guy who lived a fake life and borrowed to impress people. But not anymore."
