Jude Okoye threatened to slap me during fight over US property — Peter Okoye alleges

Singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has made fresh allegations against his elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye, claiming he once threatened him during a dispute over a property jointly owned by the former P-Square group in the United States.

Speaking in the fifth episode of his ongoing video series, Mr P said the incident happened in 2015 and only made complete sense to him years later after information he allegedly received during investigations by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

“This incident happened early 2015. It started making sense to me after EFCC told me everything. Why the sudden attack?” he said.

According to Mr P, the brothers had agreed to share their properties, including a duplex in the United States. However, he alleged that the conflict began after he discovered that his share of the property had been put up for sale without his knowledge.

He claimed that when he confronted Jude about the issue at a music event, the exchange became heated.

“He told me to get out of his front before he slapped me. He wanted to beat me up before other artistes stepped in,” Mr P alleged.

The singer also rejected claims that Jude invested his personal money in P-Square, insisting that it was their elder brother, Henry Okoye, who supported the group during its early years.

Mr P further alleged that he later came across documents that would have transferred his ownership interest in the US property to Jude's wife, Ifeoma Omokeke. According to him, he refused to sign the documents after discovering the proposed ownership change.

He also claimed that Jude insisted he had majority control of the group's assets and could force him out of the business.

The allegations are the latest in the ongoing public dispute between the Okoye brothers, which has seen both sides make conflicting claims over the management of P-Square's finances and assets.
