Starr, whose legal name is Sidney Favors, is facing multiple felony charges, including aggravated child molestation, sodomy and sexual battery involving a child under the age of 16.
According to the Hapeville Police Department, the alleged incident occurred at the Embassy Suites hotel on International Boulevard.
In a statement, police said:
"As a result of the investigation, Sidney Favors (Sidney Starr), a reality television celebrity, was arrested and charged with multiple felony offenses related to an alleged sexual assault involving a juvenile."
Following the arrest, Starr was transported to the Fulton County Jail, where she remained in custody as legal proceedings began.
Authorities have not released further details about the allegations, citing the involvement of a minor.
"Because this case involves a juvenile, no additional information will be released from our agency," the Hapeville Police Department said.
Police added that the investigation has been handed over to the Fulton County District Attorney's Office for prosecution.
Sidney Starr, 37, is a transgender model, actress and social media personality who gained wider recognition after appearing in Season 9 of VH1's Love & Hip Hop: New York.
The allegations remain before the court, and Starr is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
