Man allegedly strangles wife to death, flees and abandons two children in Delta

A man identified simply as Favour has reportedly fled after allegedly strangling his wife, Blessing Oghwoghwo, to death following an argument in Delta State.

The incident reportedly occurred in the Okirigbagha area of Sapele Local Government Area, leaving behind the couple’s two young sons, aged five and three.

According to reports, the couple had an argument after Favour allegedly asked his wife for money from her provision business, but she refused.

The disagreement reportedly escalated, after which the suspect allegedly beat and strangled Blessing until she died.

Realising what had happened and reportedly fearing that neighbours were coming after him, Favour allegedly fled the scene, abandoning their two children.

As of the time of filing this report, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, had yet to respond to requests for confirmation of the incident.
