The actress addressed the claim while responding to a comment on her social media page following her recent interview with Deacon Famous.
During the interview, Ogbodo spoke about her marriage and her belief that women are increasingly taking on the role of providers in relationships.
She also disclosed that she is only a few years older than her husband but said she was surprised that some people believed she was his mother.
However, a fan linked her comments about women being providers to an alleged experience of funding her own wedding to a younger man.
The fan wrote: “Of course you won’t blame a woman who sponsored her own marriage with a younger man for saying women are more providers in this generation. She is speaking from her personal experience, but she shouldn’t generalise it biko.”
Reacting to the allegation, Ogbodo firmly denied sponsoring her wedding and urged the fan to give credit to her ex-husband for his contribution.
“Uncle, I never sponsored my marriage! Last thing I would ever do till I kpai! Respect my ex-husband; he did his thing,” she said.
