Ruger fires back at woman who said his de@th would improve her mental health

Nigerian singer Ruger has reacted after a female social media user said his death would improve her mental health, following criticism of his music and lyrics.

The woman’s comment appeared to target the singer amid an ongoing discussion about his songs, with her wishing that he would die.

Ruger shared a screenshot of the comment on social media and responded with a controversial remark of his own.

The singer said he believed he deserved a “pass” for his response, before mocking the woman’s appearance and making a comment about her weight.

He wrote, “I think I get a pass for her wishing me dead. So apologies to the feminists and body positivity activists but this girl is worried about the wrong thing.”

Ruger then added that she should be more concerned about her eating habits, saying she was “on the verge of getting a triple chin.”

His response has sparked reactions online, with social media users divided over whether his comeback was justified or whether he went too far by targeting the woman’s appearance.
