In an emotional video shared online, actor Harry B called on the Nollywood community and well-meaning Nigerians to come to the actress's aid, saying she still has hope of regaining her sight with proper medical treatment.
Speaking from Enugu, Harry B said:
"I'm here with my sister of inestimable value, Maureen Okpoko. Nollywood, please let's reach out and support her. She's blind, but she can restore her sight. All she needs is support. I'm appealing to everyone in Nollywood and the entertainment industry to help one of our own. God bless everyone who supports her."
The heartbreaking update comes about three years after the actress revealed that she was gradually losing her eyesight and appealed to the public for financial assistance to undergo treatment.
Despite her plea at the time, it appears the help she needed never came, as she has now reportedly gone completely blind.
The development has sparked fresh calls for support, with many urging colleagues, fans and well-meaning Nigerians to rally around the veteran actress and help her access the medical care she needs.
