Veteran Nigerian Juju singer Iyun Janet Ajilore, popularly known as Saint Janet, has been laid to rest at her residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The legendary singer was buried on Wednesday following funeral activities attended by her children, colleagues, friends and other family members.
Emotional scenes were captured during the ceremony as her children and other mourners gathered around her remains before she was committed to the earth.
The burial followed a candlelight service, Artists’ Night and Christian wake held on Tuesday at the AIT/Faaji FM compound in Kola Alagbado, Lagos.
Saint Janet died on August 1, 2026, following a brief illness whose details were not disclosed.
Her death marked the end of an era for the Nigerian Juju music scene, with colleagues and fans mourning the veteran singer’s contribution to the genre.
