The comedian marked the occasion on Monday by sharing a series of photographs on social media alongside a message expressing gratitude for his life, experiences and the people around him.
Basketmouth described his journey as interesting but sometimes confusing, noting that he had experienced both memorable and challenging moments while crediting God for remaining faithful throughout the different stages of his life.
“The journey has been interesting, sometimes confusing. I’ve experienced great times and some interesting times. But through it all, God has remained faithful and merciful,” he wrote.
The entertainer said he had learnt to appreciate both the experiences he understands and those whose meaning remains unclear to him.
“I’m grateful for the lessons, the growth, the moments I understand, and even the ones I still don’t,” he added.
Basketmouth said he would not rewrite his journey despite the difficulties he encountered, explaining that his experiences ultimately led him to where he is today.
“I honestly wouldn’t change the journey, because somehow, it brought me exactly where I am today. To the people I’m with, the love I’ve found, and the peace I’ve always longed for,” he wrote.
He concluded by expressing gratitude to God for the person he has become while acknowledging that his journey of personal growth is still ongoing.
