Isbae U made this known during an interview on The Morayo Show, hosted by Morayo Afolabi-Brown, where he discussed his career, past controversies and the concept behind his interview programme.
Explaining the idea behind ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask’, the content creator said the show is designed to reveal a side of celebrities that audiences may not have seen through conventional interviews.
“The idea of Curiosity Made Me Ask is to show you another part of this celebrity you’ve not seen,” he said.
When asked who he would like to interview next, Isbae U replied, “I would like to interview Trump.”
The content creator also opened up about the difficult period he experienced in 2022 following a controversy involving sex-for-role allegations and leaked explicit videos.
Isbae U said the backlash made him question whether his career was coming to an end, noting that he sought advice from fellow content creator Mr Macaroni during the period.
“2022 was a tough time for me. It was the first time I was going through something like that, and then I asked Mr Macaroni, ‘Is this the end?’ This is because you never know how powerful people are in your life until they turn their backs on you,” he said.
He added that people who had previously left positive comments on his posts began criticising him, regardless of what he was experiencing.
“People who always commented positively started commenting negatively without caring about whatever you are going through. That is why it is called the public; they all have an opinion,” he said.
Reflecting on how he handled the backlash, Isbae U said he decided to concentrate on improving his craft, becoming a better person and entertaining his audience.
“So, all I did was focus on doing better, getting better at my craft and becoming a better person. I focused on giving them entertainment,” he said.
He added that he stopped sharing details about his personal life publicly and instead focused on producing entertaining content.
“I stepped back from posting anything about my life, kept giving them entertainment, and focused on doing better,” he said.
In 2022, gossip blog GistLover had accused Isbae U of failing to pay a woman after alleged explicit video calls. The blog claimed that the woman subsequently shared explicit videos involving the content creator and demanded that they be published after the alleged payment dispute.
Following the allegations, Isbae U issued a public apology.
