Kizz Daniel reveals he lost his mum early this year; reason he took break from music

Afrobeats star Kizz Daniel has revealed that the death of his mother earlier this year prompted him to take a break from music.

The singer disclosed this while responding to a fan who suggested that working on his album may have kept him away from music for a while.

Clarifying the reason for his absence, Kizz Daniel said he paused his music career to grieve his mother, whom he lost earlier this year.

He added that he has had to keep moving for the sake of the rest of his family, while apologising to fans for his late return to the music scene this year.

“I paused for my Mom, not an album. Lost her this year, but I gotta keep moving for the rest of the family ... sorry I came late this year,” he wrote.
