Nigerian dancer Poco Lee has reportedly regained his freedom in the United Kingdom after the woman who took him to court allegedly withdrew the case, according to social media influencer Peller.
Peller made the claim during a livestream while responding to a question about whether Poco Lee had been released.
“Yes o guys, Poco Lee is out. They talk say that girl that sue Poco Lee say the girl e run away from the case, say e leave the case. God go bless the girl, na God go bless am, is a good person,” Peller said.
He further claimed that the woman’s alleged decision to withdraw the case led to Poco Lee’s release.
“The girl that make Poco Lee go to prison, the girl comot the case, UK lawyer con leave Poco Lee,” he added.
It was previously reported that Poco Lee was on remand in a UK prison, with a plea hearing scheduled for September, following allegations of sexual offences against the dancer.
However, Peller’s claim that the complainant withdrew the case and that the development resulted in Poco Lee’s release has not been independently confirmed by the UK court or prosecution authorities.
