Luna made the statement in a post on X while tagging US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US National Security Adviser Michael Waltz.
“This needs to be stopped,” she wrote.
The lawmaker alleged that armed Fulani ethnic militias had attacked Christian communities across Plateau State, claiming that civilians were facing serious threats while Nigerian security forces struggled to contain the violence.
She alleged that a pastor and his church secretary were shot dead on their way to church, while five Christians were reportedly ambushed in their vehicle.
Luna further claimed that a civilian guard was killed outside his home and that a man and his son were beaten and left critically injured.
She also referred to the reported abduction of more than 100 people from Maburya, saying the victims remained missing.
However, Maburya is located in Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State, where suspected bandits invaded the community on September 13 and abducted residents.
The Niger State Police Command confirmed the incident, saying the attackers took some residents away after releasing elderly people, pregnant women and nursing mothers.
“Police and military tactical teams have been deployed to the location, while rescue efforts are intensified,” the police said.
Luna also claimed that Truth Nigeria had issued warnings before the attacks but that the violence occurred despite the warnings.
Her comments come amid renewed concerns over attacks, abductions and insecurity affecting communities in parts of Nigeria.
