The wife of Dunamis International Gospel Centre founder, Pastor Paul Enenche, has warned married men against crossing boundaries in their relationships with female secretaries and personal assistants, urging them to prioritise their marriages.
She gave the advice in a viral video while speaking about workplace relationships, stressing that men should be careful not to allow professional interactions with female colleagues to interfere with their responsibilities to their wives.
According to her, married men should pay attention to their communication patterns and avoid situations where another woman receives more attention from them than their wives.
“By the time there’s somebody’s text message that is entering your phone more than your wife’s text message, query, query, query. Make efforts to protect yourself,” she said.
She further warned men against allowing another woman to take the place of their wives.
“Please don’t let anybody take the place of your wife,” she added.
Using the preparation of tea as an example, Enenche’s wife cautioned men against allowing female secretaries to become unnecessarily involved in their personal needs.
“If your secretary is a woman, just ensure you have boundaries and don’t let them cook your tea,” she said.
Speaking after his wife handed him the microphone, Pastor Enenche disclosed that he had never employed a female secretary or personal assistant in his 30 years of experience.
“I have never had one for 30 years either as a secretary or as a PA. That’s personal decision, right?” he said.
The cleric also commented on the perception that women are particularly suited to secretarial roles because of their attention to detail, noting that some secretaries make repeated mistakes in official correspondence even after corrections.
He, however, emphasised the importance of taking precautions and avoiding situations that could be prevented.
“Ensure that you protect yourself and whatever is avoidable, let it be avoided,” he said.
