The incident reportedly occurred shortly before midnight on October 10, 2026, near a fast-food restaurant along a busy nightlife strip.
Videos circulating online allegedly show the four-foot-tall, red-and-gold robot approaching the teenager from behind, touching her butt%cks and repeatedly making thr¥sting movements towards her.
According to police, the robot’s 16-year-old owner and his 19-year-old companion allegedly recorded and livestreamed the encounter on social media while commenting on the incident.
Officers who responded to the scene reportedly found the two young men nearby, with the robot already inside the trunk of a Volkswagen. The machine and the suspects’ smartphones were seized as evidence.
German media reported that the robot is a commercially available humanoid model worth about €5,000 ($5,600).
One of the individuals involved later claimed on TikTok that the robot had accidentally collided with a woman while attempting to avoid another passerby. However, longer videos circulating online appear to show the machine making s+xually suggestive movements after the contact.
Investigators are examining the footage to determine whether the robot was remotely controlled, programmed to perform the movements or acted independently.
Police are investigating suspected s+xually motivated insult. German media reports also indicate that authorities may examine possible violations involving the unauthorised publication of images.
No charges had been filed against either suspect as of the time of the report.
