In a post shared on social media, the rapper listed what he considered signs of the genre's decline, including fans losing interest in their favourite artistes and the growing perception that almost everyone is now a star.
He also blamed what he described as the “see finish” attitude among fans, suggesting that constant exposure to popular artistes has made people less excited about them.
According to Slimcase, social media algorithms have also contributed to the situation, while the growing visibility of artistes may have reduced the sense of exclusivity that once surrounded fame.
He ended his post with a warning that the situation could get worse, writing, “Doom is around the corner. Doom is coming for us all.”
