'If you don't have money, don't get married' — Jarvis advises Nigerian youths ahead of her white wedding (video)

TikTok creator Jarvis has advised Nigerian youths against rushing into marriage without financial stability, sharing the advice just weeks before her white wedding to fellow content creator Peller.

Speaking during a recent livestream, the influencer urged intending couples not to allow societal pressure to push them into marriage before they are financially ready.

"If you don't have money, don't get married. Don't try it, I beg you."

Jarvis also suggested that couples can reduce the financial burden of weddings by holding their traditional and white weddings in different years instead of organising both ceremonies at the same time.

"But if you are planning on getting married, you can share it by doing the traditional wedding this year and do the white wedding the next year."

She revealed that she and Peller nearly postponed their own white wedding but eventually decided to go ahead with it.

"We almost postponed our wedding, but even if we put it in the next 50 years, we are never going to prepare for the wedding."

Jarvis and Peller recently announced that their white wedding will take place on August 1, 2026, after holding their traditional wedding in Benin City, Edo State.
