Marriage is not an achievement — Blord advises singles against rushing into marriage

Nigerian businessman Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, has advised singles to take their time and ensure they are financially and emotionally ready before getting married.

The celebrity businessman shared his thoughts during a recent episode of the Adult Gist podcast, where he criticised the pressure many young people face to settle down due to societal expectations.

Blord urged Nigerian youths not to rush into marriage, stressing that getting married should not be seen as a milestone or achievement.

“Don’t rush to marry. Take your time and make a good choice for a life partner. Don’t break ladies’ hearts because one day you are going to have a daughter and what you did to other people’s daughters someone else is going to do the same to your daughter,” he said.

He advised both men and women to treat each other with respect, saying people should consider how they would want their own children to be treated in future relationships.

“Treat women the way you want them to treat your daughter. Ladies, treat a man the way you want them to treat your son,” he added.

The businessman warned that rushing into marriage without proper preparation could lead to regrets, especially when children are involved.

“So, don’t be in a rush to marry. Marriage is not an achievement. Nobody should push you into marriage. Because if you rush into marriage, you will rush out,” he stated.

Blord further advised people to focus on making the right choice rather than allowing age or pressure to influence their decisions.

“Age doesn’t matter. Don’t marry who you will regret later. Because to reverse marriage is very, very hard, most especially when children are involved,” he said.
