The dispute began after streamer Davrel alleged that Carter Efe had described Phyna as being "of no benefit." Phyna responded by calling out Davrel over an alleged unpaid debt, sparking a heated exchange on social media.
The controversy escalated when Davrel accused Phyna of making advances toward him and claimed she had asked him to introduce her to his father.
During a subsequent confrontation with Carter Efe in a viral video, Phyna asked him directly:
"Me and you fuck?"
Carter replied:
"Yes. I will bring the whole evidence come outside."
Responding, Phyna said:
"Thank you very much. You and Davrel will hear from my lawyer."
Addressing the issue during an Instagram Live session on Thursday, Phyna apologised to her fans and announced that both Carter Efe and Davrel had been served with legal documents.
She admitted that recent events had made her realise she needed to stop handling such issues through social media and instead pursue legal action.
"I know a lot of people say I've lost my self-respect... I think I finally realised that. What has happened in the past couple of days has actually shaped me by force," she said.
Phyna explained that while she had endured different kinds of online criticism, she would not tolerate allegations involving her sexual life or personal relationships.
"Since I started streaming, I tried to stream the way everybody streams, but it has brought a lot of disrespect to me... This is the end of that Phyna because, at last, I'm finally learning how to use legal means," she added.
She concluded by confirming that legal action had been initiated.
"Carter Efe and Davrel, check your emails and WhatsApp. You've been served."
Carter Efe later confirmed in a video that he had been sued for ₦500 million.
