A lady has shared an emotional story on social media, alleging that her friend abandoned her three month old baby with her family before disappearing for years, only to return and demand custody of the child when he was about eight years old.
She said her family provided everything the boy needed while growing up, including food, clothing, medical care and education.
The lady also claimed they stood by the child through several difficult moments, including illnesses and a serious hot water accident, while his biological mother and grandmother allegedly never visited him or contributed to his upbringing.
She further alleged that after years of silence, the child's biological family suddenly resurfaced and insisted on taking him back because he was their blood relative.
According to her, the request left her family heartbroken, as they had become deeply attached to the boy after raising him for most of his childhood.
The story has since sparked emotional reactions on social media, with many users debating whether biological ties should outweigh the years of love, care and support provided by those who raised a child.
