Nollywood actress Blessing Obasi has opened up about the harsh online criticism she faced after marrying her younger colleague, Stan Nze.
Speaking in a recent interview, Blessing revealed that she was body-shamed and mocked over her appearance during the celebration of their first wedding anniversary.
"I was dragged on my first wedding anniversary because of my teeth. Trolls told me to stop laughing publicly because of my dentition," she said.
The actress also recalled that when Stan first shared her photo online, many social media users questioned their relationship, claiming she looked 10 years older than him.
"When my husband posted my picture for the first time, people said I was 10 years older than him. They also said it was a movie because they didn't believe he would actually marry me," she revealed.
Blessing added that her husband was equally affected by online criticism after comments he made during an interview were taken out of context and misrepresented on social media.
Despite the backlash, the actress said she has remained focused on her marriage and refuses to let negative opinions from strangers define her happiness.
