Nigerian comedian and actor Samuel Perry, popularly known as Broda Shaggi, has broken his silence months after he was reportedly injured in a shooting incident while filming in Ogun State.
The skit maker was allegedly shot in March while filming around the Sango-Ota Bridge. He was initially rushed to a hospital in the Alakuko area of Lagos before reportedly being transferred to another medical facility in Ikeja.
Since the incident, Broda Shaggi has largely stayed away from the public, leaving fans concerned about his condition and waiting for an update.
However, in a recent message shared on his WhatsApp channel, the comedian thanked his fans for standing by him during his prolonged absence.
He admitted that he had not been able to interact with his supporters as much as he would have liked, but said their continued love and support helped him through what he described as a difficult period.
“To everyone who's still here waiting, checking in, showing love, and holding me down even thru the silence, thank you,” he wrote.
Broda Shaggi explained that he was not yet ready to reveal everything he had gone through, but assured his fans that he had not forgotten them.
“I wish I could tell you everything right now, but I cannot. Not yet,” he said.
The comedian also hinted at a possible return to the entertainment scene, promising to come back stronger and make up for the time he has spent away from the spotlight.
“I hope that day arrives soon. And when it does, I swear I'll be back better, stronger, and ready to make up for lost time,” he added.
Broda Shaggi concluded by appreciating his fans for their patience and continued support, saying, “Thanks for staying. Thank you for your patience with me. Thank you for still being here.”
While he has chosen to keep the details of his experience private for now, his latest message has reassured fans that he remains hopeful about returning to the entertainment industry.
