Doris Ogala reacts after man demands refund of ₦1,000 campaign donation

Actress Doris Ogala has reacted after a man who publicly donated ₦1,000 to support her political campaign later demanded a refund, giving her 24 hours to return the money.

The man, Udensi Bernard, had earlier announced that he donated the sum to the campaign account provided by Ogala, who is seeking the governorship of Abia State in the 2027 election.

In a Facebook post, Udensi described the donation as his way of supporting Ogala’s political ambition and said he wanted it officially recorded that he had played his part.

“Let it be on record that I, Udensi Bernard, have officially donated the sum of ₦1,000 to the campaign account provided by Doris Ogala U, the ACG Governorship candidate for the 2027 Abia State governorship election against the current governor Alex C. Otti,” he wrote.

“This donation represents my support for her campaign and my belief in the democratic process. Every contribution, regardless of the amount, is a step toward the future we hope to build.”

He also jokingly suggested that he wanted his contribution to be remembered when appointments were eventually shared after the election.

“Tomorrow, after victory, when appointments are being shared, I don't want to hear, ‘Who is Udensi Bernard?’ Evidence dey!” he added.

Ogala acknowledged the donation, thanking him and noting that no amount was too small.

“You did well. Thank you. No amount is small. Well appreciated, even though you wanted to mock me. It's well appreciated. God bless you,” she replied.

However, the exchange took a dramatic turn after Udensi later demanded that the actress refund the ₦1,000.

Addressing Ogala, he wrote: “You have 24hrs to refund my donation. Send me back my money!!!!!! This is not a character of a Governor.”

Ogala responded with a prayer of her own, writing: “After all my prayer for you. May God refund you in your own coin.”

The exchange has since generated reactions online, with social media users weighing in on the unusual dispute over the campaign donation.
