Popular Nigerian comedian Mazi Okeke has emotionally opened up about the end of his relationship, alleging that his fiancée cheated on him despite the sacrifices he made for her over the years.
In a video shared online, the comedian said he is not someone who usually discusses his personal life on social media, but admitted that the heartbreak was too painful to keep to himself.
According to him, he invested heavily in the relationship, paying his fiancée's school fees from her 200 level until her final year, opening a shop for her and even building a house for her parents.
"My fiancée cheated on me. I'm not the type to come online to talk about my personal issues. I don't do that.
"I invested my life and my money on this girl. I paid her school fees from 200 level to final year, opened a shop for her, built a house for her parents.
"How stupid I was, because I believed."
The visibly emotional comedian said he was still trying to process the situation and was not ready to reveal the full details of what happened.
"There's not much to talk about now. Maybe tomorrow I'll talk about it. Because right now... this girl."
His emotional revelation has since sparked reactions online, with many social media users sympathising with him while others urged him to stay strong as he heals from the painful experience.
