Jide Awobona raises concern over kissing scenes after encounter with actress who had bad breath

Nollywood actor Jide Awobona has opened up about his concerns surrounding kissing scenes in movies after revealing an unpleasant experience with an unnamed actress during filming.

Speaking in an interview with Yanga FM, Awobona said he has participated in kissing scenes but admitted that he would avoid such scenes if his co-star had an unpleasant mouth odour.

The actor said:

“Yes, I have done it. But if you get that kind funny odor, I go japa o. I no fit kiss you.”

When the interviewer asked whether he had ever acted with someone who had mouth odour, Awobona confirmed that he had.

“Yes, I don act with somebody wey get mouth odor. And I go one place go wash my mouth. And the person con see me.”

Awobona also expressed concern about the potential health implications of intimate scenes between actors, stressing the importance of proper health precautions among cast members.

“I just dey pray make person no go contact something because I don tire.”

His comments have sparked reactions online, with some Nigerians debating the challenges actors face when filming intimate scenes and whether proper health checks should be considered before such scenes are performed.
