His international teammate, Nahuel Molina, has also been suspended for seven matches after being found to have taken part in the altercations at the New York/New Jersey Stadium on July 19.
The sanctions follow FIFA’s investigation into the scenes that erupted after Spain secured the World Cup title.
Paredes was involved in confrontations with Spain players, while Molina was accused of striking Spain captain Rodri as the Spanish side celebrated their victory.
FIFA had opened disciplinary proceedings against Paredes on three counts of assault and against Molina on two assault charges, as well as a separate allegation of unsporting behaviour.
The Argentine Football Association (AFA) has also been fined $321,000 (£243,000) over several disciplinary breaches, including discriminatory chants and gestures by supporters, team misconduct and the use of a sporting event for non-sporting demonstrations.
The AFA was additionally ordered to play its next two home matches with restrictions on spectators, although one match of the sanction has been suspended.
The federation was also punished over a political banner displayed by Argentina players following their 2-1 semi-final victory over England.
The banner contained a message asserting Argentine sovereignty over the Falkland Islands, known in Argentina as the Islas Malvinas.
FIFA classified the display as a potential violation of its rules prohibiting the use of sporting events for non-sporting demonstrations.
The latest sanctions bring disciplinary action against Argentina to a conclusion following the controversial end to their World Cup campaign.
