The Oyo State Police Command has arrested 10 suspects allegedly involved in the sale of human parts in the Iseyin and Saki areas of the state.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, disclosed the arrests in a statement issued on Saturday.
According to the statement, police operatives recovered several suspected human parts and charms from the suspects, including one suspected human heart, human flesh and pieces of human skull.
The recovered items have been secured for forensic examination as investigations continue to establish their source and determine the alleged roles of the suspects.
The suspects were identified as Adam Ibrahim, Nasiru Kabiru, Tijani Wasiu, Abiola Nasiru, Amusa Gbadamosi, Raheem Taofeek, Jimoh Muritala, Suleiman Busari, Ganiyu Nurudeen and Usman Abdullahi.
The Police Command said further details would be provided as the investigation progresses.
