The actress made the clarification on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, after a follower accused her of dumping her husband after undergoing Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery.
Responding to the comment, Ogbodo simply stated, “I didn’t dump my husband.”
She also responded to another follower who pleaded with her to forgive her husband for the sake of their children. The actress replied with three heart emojis.
The latest exchange comes about a month after Ogbodo publicly announced her separation from Maris, with the actress previously expressing frustration over the expectations placed on women to remain in marriages regardless of their emotional state.
At the time, she questioned why it was considered unacceptable for a woman to become tired of a marriage.
“For person to tire for marriage now nah taboo because nah woman! Must it always be man must taya? My tayad is tayad!”
Ogbodo and Maris got married in 2023 and have two children together.
