Popular Nigerian comedian Otaghware Onodjayeke, widely known as I Go Save, has weighed in on the country’s political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The comedian raised concerns about the influence of financial inducement on voters’ choices, suggesting that economic hardship could make some people vulnerable to political patronage.
In a post shared on his social media page, I Go Save described the 2027 election as a contest between the “poor” and the “paid poor.”
“2027 election is between the poor and the paid poor,” he wrote.
His comment focused on the role of financial incentives in political participation and the way economic circumstances can influence voters’ decisions ahead of elections.
