Obama shares what he thinks would happen if women led every government for two years

Former US President Barack Obama has shared his thoughts on what the world might look like if women were given leadership of every government around the world for two years.

Obama made the remarks while speaking about the importance of giving younger voices and new generations of leaders a platform.

Reflecting on his time as president, he said he sometimes imagined what would happen if women were placed in charge of governments across the world for a limited period.

“Even when I was President, I sometimes fantasized about if you put women in charge of every government for like two years, and then just kind of saw, ‘All right, how are things going?’” he said.

According to Obama, such an arrangement would not necessarily create a perfect world, but he believes it could lead to noticeable improvements.

“I have a strong belief that things wouldn’t be perfect, but they’d be better. I’m confident about that. I really do,” he added.
