‘You cannot force a man to love you’ — Mo Abudu advises women

‘You cannot force a man to love you’ — Mo Abudu advises women

Media mogul Mo Abudu has advised women against forcing relationships with men who are not interested in them, urging them to recognise the signs and move on rather than compromise their self-worth.

The 62-year-old made the remarks during an interview with media personality Toke Makinwa, where she also spoke about her views on heartbreak, saying she would not allow a man to make her cry at her age.

“Heartbreak. Nobody can break my heart. It’s not possible. There’s no such thing as heartbreak at my age. If I cry, it’s not because of a man. It may be because of my work,” she said.

Abudu encouraged women to accept when a man does not want to remain in a relationship instead of trying to convince him to stay.

“Listen, you cannot make a man be in a relationship with you. If he wants to be, he will. If he doesn’t want to be in it, he’s kidding you. Leave him. Move on. He doesn’t want to be there,” she said.

She also warned young women against lowering their standards or tolerating dishonesty and neglect to keep a relationship alive.

According to her, women should pay attention when a partner repeatedly ignores them, fails to communicate or gives excuses for being unavailable.

“If you see those kinds of people, leave them alone. Those types of people don’t want you. Please, ladies,” she added.
