‘You will never blow’ — Lojay reveals how wealthy uncle discouraged his music dream

Nigerian singer Lojay has revealed how a wealthy uncle discouraged his ambition to pursue a music career, telling him he would never become successful in the industry.

The ‘Monalisa’ hitmaker made the revelation during a recent livestream with content creator Gilmore, where he recounted the doubts he faced when he decided to venture into music.

According to Lojay, his uncle, who is now involved in politics, was wealthy and influential but did not believe he could make it as a musician.

“I have an uncle who is now in politics. I won’t mention his name, but he is very rich and popular. When I wanted to start music, he told me I would never blow,” he recalled.

Despite the discouragement, Lojay said he remained determined to pursue his dream rather than allow his uncle’s prediction to discourage him.

The singer expressed satisfaction that his persistence had paid off, using his experience to encourage fans not to abandon their ambitions because of other people’s doubts.

He urged them to remain focused on their goals and continue believing in themselves, even when people around them do not share their vision.
