Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has revealed that her husband has no issue with her sharing romantic scenes, including kissing other actors, as part of her profession.
Responding, Toyin said trust has never been a major issue between them.
“Nah. But there was just a day, I saw one post on his page, and it was like, hmm, nonsense, you understand? So, but no,” she said.
When asked specifically whether her husband had any problem with her kissing actor Gabriel Afolayan in a movie, Toyin replied that it wasn't an issue.
“I can even kiss anybody. Gabriel is my guy,” she said.
The actress stressed that professionalism comes first and noted that she has earned the trust of both her colleagues and their spouses over the years.
“Most of my colleagues’ wives are comfortable with me. I can do every other thing, but adultery is not even one of it. God forbid it. I don’t do it,” she added.
Speaking on Nollywood's box office performance, Toyin also explained why many producers traditionally release blockbuster films in December.
According to her, the festive season usually guarantees larger cinema audiences because many people are on holiday and have more time for entertainment.
However, she noted that recent successes have proven that quality films can thrive outside the Christmas period.
“December, everybody is at home. But God just showed us how powerful He is. I’m proud of Dami and Blessing. It did over ₦700 million, and it’s not even festive period,” she said.
Her comments have since generated reactions online, with many praising the level of trust in her marriage, while others shared differing opinions on actors performing romantic scenes after marriage.
