Peller reveals wedding money goes straight to his wife

kTwenty-one-year-old Nigerian influencer Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has revealed that money gifted to him and his wife during their wedding is transferred directly to his wife.

Speaking during a livestream, Peller explained that although people may assume the money belongs to him because he is the groom, he does not consider the funds his personal property.

He said he views himself and his wife as one, stressing that whatever comes to them through their marriage belongs to the family.

Peller made the clarification while responding to a caller who suggested that income received by either spouse automatically becomes shared property in marriage.

The TikTok star disagreed with the description, explaining that he does not see the wedding money as his own money to keep.

According to him, the funds received at their wedding are his wife’s money, and he makes sure they are transferred to her.

Peller also noted that while he sees himself and his wife as a single entity, she appears to have a different perspective when it comes to their individual identities and finances.

His comments have sparked discussions online, with social media users debating financial arrangements, ownership of wedding gifts and how couples should handle money within marriage.
