Sowore sparks reactions as he asks President Tinubu to use Aso Rock for presidential campaign launch

AAC presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has sparked laughter on social media after sharing a letter in which he requested permission to use Aso Rock Presidential Villa for the launch of his presidential campaign council on November 11, 2026.

The letter, dated October 21, 2026, and signed by the party’s National Secretary, Oshiokhue Philip Ikpем ioghena, also requested food, drinks and other logistical support for participants at the event.

The African Action Congress (AAC) reportedly based its request on the principles of multiparty democracy, political inclusiveness, fairness and equal treatment of political parties.

The party argued that granting the request would reflect these democratic principles in the treatment of political parties.

However, the Presidency had yet to respond to the request, according to the information contained in the letter.
